Dambulla caves was created in 1st century of BC by the then king Valagamba of Anuradhapura. After his regime many other kings added or developed the temple .

It is the largest cave temple in Sri Lanka and has been designated as a world heritage site. All paintings and statues exhibits the story of Lord Buddha’s life. Among more than 80 caves there are five caves which are more attractive.
Sigiriya is the other Important tourist attraction in the area. Hotels and Restaurants are available in Dambulla Sigiriya and Habarana Towns.
